Whilst scrolling my news feed i saw someone refer to this show as “TOWIE”.. have i missed out on a social trend? Should i be tweeting with #towie?
Anyways as much as i’d probably slag this show off to my mates, its funny how much i love this show. Just for its sheer cringe worthy factor and the fact you can watch it, re-asses your life and then not worry that your not nearly as stupid as people such as Joey Essex.
On the subject of scripted reality shows i do love them and that leads to shows like “In The City” & “The Hills” how awesome do these shows get? It spurs from my love of American TV, its so much better than Hollyoaks or Eastenders, the same storylines just in different age groups. I love Eastenders, not in the way i watch it that much but in the way that characters are never happy, they would rather sleep with their next door neighbour or kill someone off on their wedding day… whats up with that? I’d rather watch 90210 where rich kids drive around in Lamborghini’s… yes i watch all types of American TV. My girlfriend may well be worried for me, but she does enjoy sitting down and watching an episode or 2 with me. I finished the whole of Frasier this year, and now as i should be writing up on my dissertation (destroyed the word “limit” on this btw) I’m going to stop, have a cuppa and watch last nights episode of TOWIE.
IF anyone has a chance, pop on Sky Atlantic and watch ‘Bored to Death’ its awesome. It’s created by Johnathon Ames and stars himself as himself and Nick Galifinakos… (sp?) the crazy guy from The Hangover! I wonder if the new episode for The Event is out… i need to catch up with that… and wait till Sunday for the next episode of Brothers & Sisters.
Yes this is bad, i should stop watching them… or telling you i watch them. However it doesn’t matter. Ill enjoy it all the same.
Its 7pm, last night i made Chicken Katsu Curry for me and the missus followed up by a full english brunch today. Dinner plans are looking like fish Finger Sandwiches and Chips… i could experiement but i cba.
